The Five Villages Preservation Trust (5VPT) was formed to fight the huge unwanted and unneccessary Watermark Development in Kentford Heath between the Villages of Herringswell, Kentford, Kennett and Red Lodge. We successfully managed to stop this development and the background history can be viewed by clicking on the link in the left-hand panel.

We found that there was a need for an organisation like ours in this Region to counter any unwanted, inappropriate and unsustainable large scale developments in order to preserve our wonderfull rural countryside.

We are all dedicated volunteers and have the support of Parish Councils and other organisations.
